They Would Say That In confidence, they saw no plagiarism, only honest and reasonable citation errors in a still valid thesis. But they would say that, wouldn’t they? Deny deny deny, otherwise (crossing race and gender boundaries) the whole house may fall as others are checked and check-mated. Then there’s course work. Plagiarism doesn’t start at Doctoral level.   Plagiarism is a well learned,   well practiced technique, (in confidence) unchecked so widespread crossing race and gender boundaries (in confidence) Deny deny   deny. So, in confidence, none is found, nothing seen to be plagiarised, but, they would say that, wouldn’t they? https://oddballmagazine.com/poem-by-lynn-white-28/

God Given   If such a creature didn’t exist we’d have to invent it for sure. Whether Zeus or Allah, Jehovah or any of the rest, all fulfil the same   purpose. All create a framework   of behaviour, the laws of god which must be obeyed without argument, without thinking, without due process. All create a framework of rights. Some have them, others don’t. They’re god given so no argument, no thinking, needed. And all need a territory, a god given territory from the beginning of time and for evermore No argument, no thinking, god given. https://coldrambler.blogspot.com/2026/08/god-given-by-lynn-white.html

Hard Reigns Hard rain dripping lies like old blood from old kings, their old plaids hanging ragged as the lies of their old hard reigns,   ready now for the dustbin of history. There is new blood now new reigns new suits old lies as the rain falls hard. https://www.ekphrastic.net/the-ekphrastic-challenges/dan-smith-ekphrastic-writing-responses-curated-by-kate-copeland

Night Sky She thought the night sky was like a puzzle where you had to join the dots, the glittering cairns pin point sharp which marked the pathways to the moon, to Venus, to the sun and beyond. Sometimes a cairn would come apart and a piece would fall to earth. She would catch it there, hold it in her hands let it warm them let it shine   through then she would let it go. https://inalove.world/2026/08/20/night-sky/

After Time “I’m late, I’m late again”, said the White Rabbit staring at his pocket watch with exasperation. He turned the minute hand back a little and perused the new time with satisfaction. He knew the effect would be limited unless he could turn back the hands on all the clocks everywhere, but it made him feel better briefly. He had pondered this issue of time many times. He knew that clocks and watches were irrelevant to it’s passing, which made him feel better   about his manipulation. Philosophically speaking, he knew that he could change the time. He could break the watch and freeze it. Break all the wheels that turned inside. Smash them to smithereens. But even then, even when   broken, he knew the wheels of time keep turning,  time after time. https://tapintopoetry.wordpress.com/2026/08/20/tap-into-poetry-31/#after-time-by-lynn-white

The Funeral of Bosco Jones Over twenty years ago Bosco Jones died after a long and purposeful life. His children, (long departed from their roots), returned. “Don’t worry, Mum”, they said, “we’ll see to everything. We’ll make all the necessary arrangements.” They arranged a splendid funeral with a vicar and hymns and flowers. A lot of people went, for Bosco had made an impact during his life. They left the doors open so that all those outside could hear And join in the proceedings. There was nice churchy music and an atmosphere of peace and serenity. The vicar began the service with a lot of talk of God and Mrs Jones stopped crying. She started to look around her and take in the proceedings. She seemed somewhat agitated and alarmed. Then she stood up and shouted at the vicar, shaking her fist, “I’m having none of this!” she cried, “My Bosco didn’t believe in all this claptrap and nonsense!” Some people cheered in agreement and she sat down again. The vicar, a dedicated pro...

Gulliver's Wife It is not commonly known that Gulliver had a wife but she accompanied him on all his journeys and Lilliput was her favourite place. Swift never wrote about her. Perhaps he found her just to daring, even though she was careful   to be on her best behaviour and hide her painted nails in public places. When alone she didn’t care. She wiggled them with joy each time she took a bath. Only the Lilliputian sea creatures were invited to join her. She loved to watch them as they played in the water. Which came first, she wondered, the mermaid or the seal.   She tried to work it out. They told her it didn’t matter, was of no importance. Having fun was what mattered, wiggling and jiggling in the water, size didn’t matter either. She could only agree. https://academyoftheheartandmind.com/2026/07/30/gullivers-wife/
