Lady In Red

They called her the ‘Lady in Red’

and said she could be seen walking

in the slip stream of the blossoming trees

emerging from the mists and muted colours.

She was so colourfully out of place, they said.

I didn’t believe them

so I hid in the trees

and waited

amongst the falling petals.

I don’t think she saw me,

except maybe

as a figment of her imagination

or as someone hanging out in her dream.
